We were right! Here at Miu & Duc we predicted a return to uniforms and Nerdy Chic on the A/W 2010 Catwalk. Who better than Prada: fashion geek ambassador professional to take the lead. Note to Miuccia: We could have done with editing of Miranda Kerr from the show. Other designers that have been riding the uniform wave were Proenza, Celine, Sonia Rykiel and Jil Sander…more decisive moments to follow.

Are we wrong in saying that the Pre-Fall 2010 collections are so far below par & lack-lustre?…

Think: the heavy styling at Chanel. Or a gilded ‘Cement trenchcoat’ with a repeat G print at Gucci! HEAVY! HEAVY! HEAVY!..it is the season of HEAVY. Does Winter = Heavy?

The other big theme is the LADY-look…designers have been playing with this theme for 5 years now. M&D declares: MOVE ON!!!…Let’s search for a *NEW*Modern Ideal, not every woman wants to be dragged into the 1950′s!.. It’s time to take all the ideals of Summer Dressing into winter..Don’t drown in fabric Ladies. Breathe and be Aerodynamic!..this is a NEW DECADE..let’s freshen up WINTER once and for all!!!
